Construction

All of our buildings are constructed with the best materials. We start with the floor and it has pressure treated 4”x4” floor joists at 24” on center placement. We then use exterior grade 3/4” plywood for the floor. When we place the buildings we make sure they are properly vented so they will last. The truth of the matter is these are little houses and are built with the same requirements of your home.

The second step is construction of the walls. The standard interior wall height is 6 feet. All of our walls are made with quality 2”x4” dried Doug Fir. The studs are set at 16” on center and a single bottom plate using a doubled top plate that have lock in corners to add strength to the walls. The walls containing windows have header boards to take pressure off the window. These walls are built like a regular house.

We add siding of your choice. The siding pictured here is our standard 3/4” pine ship lap style that we use on our basic package. This wood is very durable and last for many years. The siding makes for a very strong wall and the buildings are extremely durable.

The walls are all stood and locked together to make the building. After they are put together you add the roof. As you can see in this picture Tyler checks and makes sure all building are square and in proper working order.  After the building are up we make the Dutch door and trim them out to your specifications. We do build some furniture and you can see some samples of them on our accessory page. This building is pictured on our about page with Smokey giving it a thumbs up. That picture was taken at a Home and Garden Show in our area. We pride our self in being able to help you design your home to meet your needs. Our next project is a cave playhouse combination hopefully complete with a pond and waterfall. When it is done I will post it.
